Officers are very worried about the welfare of Leslie Davis, known as Les.
He hasn’t been seen since he left his home in Scarborough on Thursday morning.
Officers have been carrying out their own enquiries but have failed to locate him and are now appealing to the public for help.
Les is five foot four inches tall, of small build, with short white/grey hair. He normally wears a baseball cap and carries a small rucksack.
If you spot Les, North Yorkshire Police urge you to call 999 immediately.
