ChatGPT Copied Cover Letter For Job Application Goes Viral; Internet Suggests Founder To Send AI-Generated Rejection
ChatGPT generated resumes, cover letters, and applications are the latest menace to plague the job market, with GenZ and millennials alike sending the exact same template of content to recruiters. Some surveys suggest as many as 57% of young applicants rely on AI bots for generating CVs and cover letters. While a handful of the youngsters know the art of spinning or paraphrasing the AI-generated monotonous run-off-the-mill content, others aren’t even bothered. A Delhi-based founder shared a super annoying cover letter that reeks every bit of being AI-generated (ChatGPT most probably). What is a dead give-away is the space holders left by the AI for the user to fill in their skill sets and other relevant details. The user didn’t even care. They sent across the cover letter only to get viral on social media as a glowing example of the plight of job-hunting youngsters in India.

Here’s how the internet reacted to the ChatGPT-copied cover letter. Several joked, “nakal ke liye akal chahiye!” Others suggested replying to the candidate with a ChatGPT-generated rejection mail. Meanwhile, a handful believe that it all boils down to the “spoon-feeding tuition culture in India.”

Of the 10% that do, 90% of them just do a basic copy paste.
Only 1% stand out, and pass to the next round.
