Chicago teen faces attempted murder charges for shooting at police officers
CHICAGO – A 17-year-old boy is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly fired shots at Chicago police officers.
Chicago police said the teen fired shots at officers Sunday night in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue in South Chicago. Just after 8:45 p.m. Sunday, the teen was taken into custody in the 8200 block of S. South Shore Drive.
A firearm was also recovered at the scene, according to investigators.
The teen, meanwhile, has been charged with attempted murder of Chicago police officers.
No other information was released.
