County Durham Cricket Club launches fundraising effort to launch game streaming

The club on Station Road in Stockton, caters to everyone from budding Allstars cricketers (aged 5+), juniors (aged 9-17) and senior teams to their social cricketers ‘The Winkers’.

The ambitious fundraising initiative includes plans to purchase a state-of-the-art live-streaming FROG camera, enabling fans to watch matches from anywhere.

On Saturday, February 22 four of Sedgefield’s First Team players- Ben Swindale, Phil Reynard, Luke Henderson and David Budd- will tackle an incredible 35-mile ultra marathon from Bedale Cricket Club to Sedgefield Cricket Club.

Supporters are encouraged to cheer them on, and donations are welcomed to help meet the club’s goals.

A spokesperson for the club on Facebook said: “Sedgefield Cricket Club needs your help! We are hoping to have it set up in time for the 2025 season.

“Everybody at the club would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor us as we push ourselves to help the club progress further.”
