Deputies in Arapahoe County investigating attempted kidnapping

DENVER (KDVR) — The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an attempted kidnapping of a child Saturday night.

Around 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 8400 block of East Yale Avenue.

The suspect is described as a heavy set man between 5 foot, 10 inches and 5 foot, 11 inches tall. Curly hair was seen coming out of the eye holes of a black ski mask he was wearing, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was reportedly wearing orange shoes, black pants and a hoodie with Mickey Mouse on it.

The suspect vehicle is black SUV with a black Colorado license plate. The word “watermelon” in pink is also reportedly on the back of the vehicle alongside the Toy Story characters Woody and Slinky Dog under the right taillight
