Did Kavita Kaushik Slam Salman Khan While Praising Vivek Oberoi? Actress Says ‘We Are Charmed With Dadagiri…’

Former television actress and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Kavita Kaushik is in the headlines for a recent tweet heaping praise on Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. Kaushik wrote about people celebrating ‘Swag, dadagiri, and roasting,’ which many interpreted as a subtle critique of Salman Khan. However, Kaushik did not directly mention Khan’s name.

Recently Kavita Kaushik reacted to a post on X (formerly Twitter) that reported Vivek Oberoi’s net worth. The original post re-shared by Kaushik read, “Vivek Oberoi has a net worth of Rs. 1200 crore, which is higher than that of Ranbir Kapoor and Allu Arjun.” Reacting to this post, Kaushik praised Vivek Oberoi, calling him a ‘superb actor’ and commending him for standing by his principles. In the same tweet, she criticized public admiration for ‘swag’ and ‘dadagiri.’ “A superb actor, stood up for his woman, fought against the biggest speaking truth… but we as a country are charmed with swag, dadagiri, and roasting…,” wrote Kavita Kaushik.

Kaushik’s post went viral on Reddit, and while she didn’t directly mention Salman Khan’s name, netizens believed that she took a dig at him. Redditors also dug up her older tweets, where she had expressed her admiration for Salman Khan while suggesting that her opinions may have perhaps shifted after her stint on Bigg Boss 14.

For the unversed, Kaushik was a wild card contestant on Bigg Boss 14, and she was upset with her negative portrayal on the show. Earlier, speaking to Bollywood Hungama, she claimed that Khan seemed disinterested in hearing her perspective during disputes. “He doesn’t listen. He is not interested,” she had said. Kavita had hit the headlines during Bigg Boss 14 for her fights with fellow contestants Eijaz Khan, Abhinav Shukla, and Rubina Dilaik.

A few years ago, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Kaushik refuted that she had a close rapport with Khan. She said, “I wouldn’t call it a close rapport, no. Salman and his family, including Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Salim (Khan) Uncle and Helen Aunty have seen FIR. Salim Uncle had invited me over for lunch and he told me, ‘We really enjoy your show.’ They have been very gracious to me by hosting a feast for me just because they liked the show.”
