Dutchess Co. SPCA finds tub of kittens on its property

HYDE PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Dutchess County SPCA (DCSPCA) in Hyde Park reported finding a covered tub of kittens on its property on Monday. The DCSPCA noted that situations like this can always be avoided by calling the SPCA to schedule an appointment for drop-off at its location in Hyde Park and they will do everything they can to help.

If considering dumping unwanted pets, the DCSPCA asks that you call (845) 452-7722 extension 403 so they will be safe and cared for. Also, if you’re looking to neuter a pet you can dial the same number except use extension 425 to take advantage of the low-cost spay-neuter clinic.

DCSPCA said that this must have been an unwanted litter and that it wants to help pet owners reduce the number of unwanted litters to ensure no animal has to experience something like this.
