What to expect from The Good Ship Murder series 2
In a summary of the first episode of series two, the Radio Times said: “Jack invites Kate for a romantic evening at the opera during their stop in Rome.
“However, the arrival of his estranged 18-year-old daughter, Mia, throws his plans into chaos.
“As Jack investigates the murder of an opera troupe member, the situation spirals out of control when Mia runs away with a suspect from the investigation.”

In series one, Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney played Beverley the cruise director but due to “scheduling conflicts” with the soap, she won’t be returning to The Good Ship Murder for series two, explains the Radio Times.
Instead, Hollyoaks star Ross Adams has replaced Sweeney. Adams wasn’t in the Christmas special but fans can look forward to seeing him amongst the cast in the second series.
Shane Ward who plays Jack Grayling and has starred on Coronation Street said: “To lose Claire was sad for us all. But hopefully not for good. We know that she’s deep in the scripts for Coronation Street, and me and Cath have been there.
“We know when you’re involved in such big storylines, you’re going to be committed to that. So there’s always room [for her to come back]. And she’s such a great character as well for the show, that she is missed.”
