Bengaluru techie Atul Shubash, who was found dead in his apartment on Monday, accused his wife Nikita Singhania, an Accenture employee, for constant harassment and extortion, detailing the same in an hour-long video and 23-page document suicide note. While the brother of the deceased filed an FIR against the accused, her mother, brother, and uncle over the case, the woman retorted with the domestic violence charges against the man, along with the demand for hefty dowry that led to their separation; that has become national news now.
Meanwhile, armchair sympathisers and flagbearers of men’s rights have flooded Accenture’s official X/Twitter account with requests to fire the woman. The trolling on the profile by several meninists is abusive at best. Accenture’s profile is now locked, and only accepted followers can see its posts. Even the CEO of the company, Julie Sweet, has locked her profile in the wake of growing protests, with a flurry of slandering abuses on the platform.
