First Reactions Come In Following The Death Of Ratan Tata, PM Modi Says He Was ‘A Visionary Business Leader’

Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons, has passed away at the age of 86. Earlier, Ratan Tata was taken to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital around 12.30 to 1.00 AM on Monday (7 October 2024) in critical condition. However, in an Instagram post, Ratan Tata had shared that he is undergoing routine medical check ups due to his age, assuring his followers that there is no need for concern. The reason for his death is yet to be shared.

In a statement to the media, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said, “It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation.”

Since the news of Mr. Tata became public, many eminent personalities have paid their tributes to the man who has been synonymous with the story of India’s economic rise as the leader who oversaw the Tata Group grow by manifolds during his reign at the giant global conglomerate.
