Market Place Shopping Centre evacuated due to ’emergency’

There was an alarm and an accompanying announcement at 1.45pm on Monday.

The shopping centre was evacuated and there were shoppers outside on Corporation Street and surrounding streets.

An announcement said it was an emergency but there is no other information on the incident of around 20 minutes.
