More Six: The Musical shows axed due to cast illness leaving fans ‘disappointed’
Both performances of Six: The Musical which was set to take place at the Stockton Globe today (December 21) have been called off due to sickness.
Featuring all six of Henry VIII’s wives, the all singing all dancing show is a spunky musical retelling of their stories centred around powerful ballads and is set to be on at the globe until January 2.
This news comes after the 8pm performance on Friday (December 20) was axed just ten minutes before curtain call, leaving fans aggravated and disappointed.
The statement reads:
“Both the 4pm and 8pm performances of SIX the Musical today have regrettably been cancelled due to cast illness.
“Please see statement below from the show producers:
“Despite spending several hours this morning trying to find a way to present today’s performances in Stockton we have sadly had to make the decision to cancel both of today’s shows.
“We have tried everything in our power, including contacting past Queens from around the country, to try and save the shows, but unfortunately due to widespread illness within both the UK Tour and West End casts we are unable to make a safe performance possible.
“We will do everything we can to make sure the next two weeks of performances can go ahead.”
They added: “Customers will be contacted directly via email in the coming days to move their booking to another performance or obtain a refund.
“We will do everything we can to support you as quickly as we can. We would be very grateful if you could wait to be contacted and will be in touch as soon as possible.
