OPPO Find X8 Series Global Launch Confirmed; Set To Feature The Powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400
OPPO is gearing up to shake up the smartphone market with its upcoming Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. These new devices will be the first in the world to feature the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, promising a new level of performance across AI, gaming, photography, and overall user experience.
According to Andy Wu, OPPO’s Vice President and President of the Find Product Line, the Find X8 Series is all about delivering an exceptional experience in gaming, imaging, and smooth performance. This leap in capability is the result of OPPO’s ongoing collaboration with MediaTek, a partnership that’s been pushing the limits of mobile technology for years. Dr. Yenchi Lee, General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit, echoed this excitement, calling the Dimensity 9400 a “game-changer.” The chipset features a second-generation All Big Core design, ensuring top-tier performance across a range of demanding tasks.

At the heart of the Dimensity 9400 is an Arm Cortex-X925 core running at 3.62GHz, alongside three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. This setup delivers a 35% boost in single-core performance and a 28% improvement in multi-core performance compared to the previous generation. Whether you’re editing videos, juggling multiple apps, or simply using your phone for everyday tasks, the Find X8 Series promises to handle it all with ease. Gaming enthusiasts will also benefit, as the devices are equipped with MediaTek’s 12-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU, which offers a 40% improvement in ray tracing and up to 44% better efficiency, ensuring smoother and more immersive gaming experiences.
But it’s not just about power. The Dimensity 9400 is also designed for efficiency, built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. This means the chipset consumes up to 40% less power, allowing the Find X8 Series to deliver longer battery life, even during heavy use. Thanks to OPPO’s Silicon-Carbon battery technology, users can expect multi-day battery life without compromising on performance. The Dimensity 9400 also features an 8th Generation NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which boosts AI performance, ideal for tasks like generating responses in real-time, such as with Google’s Gemini Nano integrated into the Find X8’s Magic Compose feature for Google Messages.
Photography is another area where the Find X8 Series shines. With MediaTek’s Imagiq 1090 ISP working in tandem with OPPO’s Hasselblad Master Camera System and HyperTone Image Engine, the camera experience reaches new heights. Expect AI-powered zoom, improved low-light performance, and stunning HDR video. The Dimensity 9400 also helps reduce power consumption by 14% when shooting 4K video at 60fps, so you can capture longer, smoother footage without worrying about battery drain.

Connectivity is top-notch too, thanks to MediaTek’s AI LinkBoost, which ensures a stable connection for activities like online gaming or uploading content, even in crowded areas. Additionally, MediaTek’s Xtra Range 3.0 boosts Wi-Fi coverage by up to 30 meters, ensuring a stronger, more reliable connection throughout your home or office.
The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, are poised to redefine what a flagship smartphone can do. With cutting-edge performance, advanced AI, impressive gaming and photography features, and all-day battery life, these devices are set to raise the bar for what users can expect from their mobile devices.
