Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light Bags 3 Nods In BAFTA Awards 2025’s Longlist
Payal Kapadia recently secured Golden Globes nominations in the Best Director and Best Foreign Language Film categories for her globally acclaimed film All We Imagine As Light. Now the film has also received three nods in the BAFTA longlist. The categories include Best Director, Original Screenplay and Best Film not in the English language.

Earlier this week, BAFTA unveiled the longlists for 25 categories which includes All We Imagine As Light alongside names like, Jacques Audiard’s crime drama Emilia Perez. The film landed 15 nods on the longlist followed by Edward Berger’s thriller Conclave with 14 nods. Some of the hit 2024 films that also made it to the list include The Substance, The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown with 11 nods on the longlists. While Wicked and Dune: Part Two bagged 10 followed by Anora and Gladiator 2 with nine nods.
The longlist for best film included, Anora, The Apprentice, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, Kneecap, The Substance and Wicked. Other categories for the longlist included Outstanding British Film, Best Debut British Director/Writer or Producer, Children and Family Film, Animated film and many more.
