Police incident forces closure of major motorway
The M77 northbound carriageway between Junctions 5 (Malletsheugh Interchange) and 6 (Kingswell Interchange) was shut at around 6.20pm on Wednesday, December 11, following a crash involving one vehicle.
During the collision, police were urging motorists to ‘avoid the area’.

Sharing a brief update on the incident on Thursday, December 12, cops revealed the road reopened around 9.10pm on Wednesday.
However, the force did not reveal if anyone was injured during the collision.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The M77 is northbound between junctions 5 and 6 re-opened around 9.10pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 following a crash involving one vehicle. Motorists are thanked for their patience.”
