The Chiefs return from their early bye week for the much-anticipated Super Bowl rematch. Head coach Andy Reid has seen plenty of success throughout his career after a bye week as the team will have a refreshed focus.

On offense, the Chiefs will need another strong effort from running back Kareem Hunt and a hopefully healthy JuJu Smith-Schuster. Patrick Mahomes will battle the stingy 49ers defense that still features several players from last season’s Super Bowl squad. Travis Kelce will continue his upward trend with another productive afternoon.

Defensively, the Chiefs will try to keep several eyes on George Kittle’s movements while pressuring quarterback Brock Purdy. The effectiveness of the defensive line led by Chris Jones will be essential. At the same time, Justin Reid’s veteran awareness regarding how San Francisco utilizes its weapons will be counted on more than usual. A Harrison Butker field goal should be the difference in Week 7.

Final score: Chiefs 24, 49ers 21
