Pub promises to ‘go out with a bang’ as it announces closure after eight years
The Bottled Note has been serving up real ales, craft beers and more on Borough Road in Middlesbrough since 2016, but will permanently close its doors and pull the final pints on Saturday (January 4).
It will come after a closing party the night before, with the pub vowing to go out with a bang.
Posting to Facebook owner Nick Hadlett said: “We will be closing permanently on Saturday January 4.
“We want to go out with a bang and have a chance to say goodbye to everyone who has supported us over the years.
“We will kick off our closing party on Friday, January 3 and will have live music to get the party started.
“We hope to see you all there for one final time and share some drinks, laugher and amazing memories that have been created over the years.
“Our Facebook page will be kept open to share your memories and photographs and for any for any future developments.
“We would like to thank each and everyone of you who has supported us and for the wonderful friendships that have been made.”
The pub previously closed in July 2023 after a leasing issue, but reopened a month later to the delight of customers having secured “a lease for many years to come”.
Regulars reacted with disappointment and sadness at the news.
