Pushpa 2: The Rule Crosses ₹800 Crore In India; Here’s How Much Allu Arjun’s Film Made Globally
The Pushpa phenomenon refuses to slow down, as Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, continues its historic run at the box office. Within just ten days of its release, the film has not only maintained momentum but has also seen a significant boost in collections at both domestic and international box offices.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 recorded a massive surge in earnings on Day 10 (Saturday), collecting Rs 62.3 crore in India alone. This marked an impressive 71.15 percent jump from Friday’s earnings of Rs 36.4 crore, India Today reported. The film’s Hindi version emerged as a major contributor, raking in Rs 46 crore, followed by the Telugu version with Rs 13 crore and the Tamil version, which added approximately Rs 2.5 crore to the total.
As of now, Pushpa 2’s domestic collection stands at a staggering Rs 824.5 crore. With the film expected to bring in another Rs 50 crore on its second Sunday, the second weekend total is likely to surpass Rs 100 crore. This achievement will position Pushpa 2 as the highest second-weekend grosser for a Hindi release, surpassing Stree 2 with Rs 92.90 crore.
On the global front, the Allu Arjun-led film has already grossed an astounding Rs 1,190 crore, further cementing its place as a worldwide blockbuster.
The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, faced some controversy when lead actor Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident during a screening of Pushpa 2. However, the controversy appears to have had little to no impact on the film’s box office performance. Audiences remain undeterred, pouring into theatres to witness Allu Arjun’s charismatic portrayal of Pushpa Raj.
Following his arrest, the Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail, allowing him to return to promotional events. Fans have shown unwavering support for the actor, further fueling the film’s success.
