Sanjay Leela Bhansali Says He ‘Froze’ When He Met Deepika Padukone For The First Time: ‘So Much Of Beauty’

Recalling their first meeting, Bhansali revealed that he visited Deepika’s home, and the instant she opened the door, he was struck by her beauty. “I froze by the beauty of the woman, by the eyes,” he said,. Bhansali explained that there was something deeper—an intangible connection he felt. “When I realized that there’s so much of subtlety, so much of fragility, so much of beauty… She started talking, and I realized her voice was beautiful.”
In that very moment, Bhansali knew he had found someone special. “Then I realized I was at the right place at the right time because I knew this girl would be moulded, would be taken somewhere,” he added.
