Swiggy Takes on Zepto with Snacc, a New App for Ultra-Fast 15-Minute Food Delivery

Swiggy has introduced a new app, SNACC, offering 15-minute delivery for quick bites, beverages, and meals. The launch comes as competition intensifies in the food delivery market, with both established players and newcomers enhancing their services to meet the changing preferences of Indian consumers.

Swiggy has traditionally offered all its services—food delivery, quick commerce, hyperlocal delivery, and dining out—through a single app. However, as competition heats up with players like Blinkit’s Bistro, Zepto Cafe, and Swish, both large and small companies are focusing more on rapid food delivery. Many, including Zomato-owned Blinkit and Zepto, are launching standalone apps to differentiate their services and target a broader audience.

Moneycontrol reviewed the new SNACC app, which features a vibrant fluorescent green background and dark blue text. The app went live on January 7 in select areas of Bengaluru, with plans to expand and scale to other regions across the country, according to sources.

As per the report, Snacc’s landing page features categories such as Indian Breakfast, Coffee, Bakes, Cold Beverages, and Eggs & Protein. While it has partnered with brands like Blue Tokai and The Whole Truth in some categories, most offerings are unbranded and sourced from third-party food providers.

The app and its offerings were conceptualized around mid-December, meaning the service was launched in under a month. SNACC’s debut follows the success of Swiggy’s rapid delivery service, Bolt, which guarantees 15-minute deliveries by partnering with eateries capable of meeting strict timelines. In contrast, Snacc delivers from a centralized location with stocked products.

Notably, Swiggy is yet to get back to Mashable India regarding the new service. As mentioned earlier, Swiggy’s launch of SNACC places it in direct competition with Zepto Cafe and Blinkit Bistro, as all three platforms aim to tap into India’s increasing demand for quick, convenience-focused dining options, especially popular among millennials and Gen Z.
